15 Ukrainians Killed by Russian Glide Bombs in Zaporizhzhia as Trump Tells Kyiv to Stop Defending Self
President Donald Trump is on track to become America’s first president to contribute to Ukraine’s demise.
Ukraine has the numbers and cards to do so but Trump wants to deprive the nation of the ability to do so.
Ukraine is doing its utmost to defend itself against Russia aggression but Trump and the Russian fuhrer don’t want that. Every day Russian cutthroats strike and kill innocent, unarmed Ukrainian civilians. And despite Trump’s propaganda, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not at fault for Russian and the world’s ails.
Every day Ukrainians endure drones and missiles and bury their dead and console their children.
Five Russian glide bombs hit Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, Saturday morning, October 10, killing at least 15 people, three of which were children.
The bombs hit residential buildingsin the city. At least 16 people were injured in the attack. More people are missing and believed to be under the rubble. Zelenskyy said the strikes were Putin's "thanks" for President Donald Trump's lifting sanctions on Russian diesel.
"Last night confirmed once again that in Russia, they take any easing of pressure to mean they can keep fighting, to mean they can keep dropping bombs on cities," Zelensky said on X. Different signals are needed. “Russia must understand that it needs to stop the war, and for that to happen, Russia must feel its losses. Right now, it is our long-range capabilities that are ensuring this. And we will respond to Russian strikes. I thank everyone who is helping."
Zelensky said 13 other regions in Ukraine were attacked overnight. Throughout Ukraine, at least 19 people were killed and 46 others injured.
In Zaporizhzhia, 26 residential buildings were damaged, the Kyiv Independent reported.
"The ground floor was hit, and the floors above just collapsed," the BBC reported acting Mayor Regina Kharchenko told Ukrainian television.
She added that more than 80 rescue workers were on the scene and listening for voices of those who might be stuck under the rubble.
